Yes BMWs are definitely a hobby car. I think I'll probably own another E46 in the future as a project car. They're excellent for that.

I totally understand your initial statement though. Trust me, I know how my car looks. Most of the M3 mods were done between 2008 - 2010. I am a little older now and regret having modded my 325 to look like an m3. The money has been spent though, and the oem parts have been sold. It's one of those you live and you learn kind of things. You can't really tell a kid who wants to make his car look cool anything when he's 18. As for the rear fenders... I'm just tired of my tires still rubbing and not being able to have people sit in my back seat.

If there is any one BMW I'd consider to buy it would be a e39 M5. I absolutely love that car!

I kind of have a build thread, but it isn't that good. I have a problem documenting everything that do. When I was working on the fenders, transmission, and just about every other mod I get focused on completing the task and don't really take a lot of pictures. It would be a good read though if I did have a journal that documented everything throughout the years.
Just find whatever pictures you have of it after the mods were installed even if you don't have the actual install pictures and write the story lol That's what I did. I didn't even remember the timeline for my car really. It was only because of the dates of whatever pictures I could find was how I sorted it lol Of course I remembered how I got most of the mods though as soon as I saw the pictures and what happened. I think my build thread sucks though, iono if anyone reads it.

Thank you! Nice to get a complement from someone who has been so helpful in the community. I've always been a fan of your 330i. Seeing cars that are oem plus makes me wish my car was stock sometimes.

I had one, but it was crap lol. Now I just post pictures & updates in this thread from time to time. I like your build thread. Plus you write well which always makes going through build threads more pleasant. Love the way the wide fenders look on a facelifted coupe. All you need is the rear fenders.

Small update. Not an e46 or BMW for that matter, but I picked this up earlier this morning.

Now comes the hard decision of whether or not to keep the bimmer.

You did? You must have not gotten very far before you stopped lol You should make one again. I'd love to read it.

Thanks for reading my thread. There's not much updates nowadays. Yeah I'm on the look out for rear fenders right now, but I want to get like the whole rear section. I had a chance like a couple months ago and it slipped through my fingers

I can't wait to see you put your rear fenders on. It should be a little better because of the inner fender. That's probably why you were rubbing.

Yeah, I threw together a thread really quickly. It's a shame I didn't document everything I did when I did it. As for the fenders... they're on hold for a while.

I love the e46, but now that I have the Merc I'm not sure if I want to keep throwing money at it. I have decided to keep the bimmer though. That manual transmission is too much fun to let go.
