Interest check: Dyno day near Flint, MI

Checking to see if there is interest in setting up another dyno day at A&A Machine ship near Flint, MI.

If we get 10 cars it will cost $60 for 3 pulls on their dynojet.

Here's the thread from last years event:
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=1090211

Anyone interested?

Ok cool, lets keep this thread updated.

Maybe a saturday morning in mid-may or early June could work.

I'd love to be able to head over to lapeer dragway too and do a few runs

I have 3 guys confirmed and most likely 4 as i'm sure my buddies wife will bring her challenger. So 5 counting myself. I'm sure there will be events at Milan as well that i will try to keep you updated on i haven't heard good things about lapeer dragway. May 22nd doesn't work for me as well as first weekend in May. June 2nd i'll be at silver lake and My fiances nephew has his graduation on June 9th. Once you can figure out a date i'll try to work my schedule around it. I'll ask another guy who has a mustang if he would be interested in a dyno day.

Well, well, well, if it isn't Josh and Ryan, lol. Two E46 owners hanging out on the E90 forums

So, I will be going to this as well if I buy this 335is tomorrow.

Ha, I was confused for a moment, but it appears that this thread is replicated on both e46fanatics and e90fanatics, cool!

Did you end up picking up the 335is? I'd love to see it!

I just realized it was replicated as well. I did buy it and should be picking it up this Monday. Pretty stoked and about to start looking into downpipes and a tune. So count me in for the Dyno. I can't wait to see how your ride is coming along.

I really wanted to go last year, its just a huge trip on my M3

I appreciate that some of you want Dyno Days and a dragstrip. When I suggested a similar item to our local CCA chapter I felt like the response was - why would you do anything but road race, autoX. Everyone has their own idea of fun! I grew up drag racing and really appreciate what it takes.

It would be nice if you could make it but I see that it's pretty far for you.
Dyno is fun because I would never just rev my car that high
Fun to talk to other people that love there cars as well.

I agree, I prefer road racing. I really have no interest in drag racing, except it is another measure of performance. Dyno numbers tell you how much power your making, and then the drag strip tells you how fast your car is in the 1/4. Both are pretty common measures of performance.

So if a few of us did want to go to lapeer, it isn't far away, and I'd probably only do a run or two to get my slips. Or if others are really into it I'd hang out for a while too!

I'd be interested in a dyno day if you do one on either of these 3 weekends I should be able to attend:

May 27-28
June 3-4
June 17-18

The rest of them are all filled up with auto-x/road course events

May 27 is track day at gingerman for me.

I could do one of these:

June 3-4
June 17-18

Do either of those weekends work for everyone else? If so I'll call it in and get things reserved
