Hey guys! I have waited far too long to post a build thread here. I have one in another forum and i thought about copying it here but picture links do not work so i took my time and wrote up everything all over. This is my life, i love modding my car and try and do things that was not done before. Yet, most of the stuff that i have done, did not feel right so i ended up looking like any other modded e46s out there  but that's not a bad thing. I have done so many stupid mods and every time i think about them, i get disgusted :D I am gonna try to share those as much as i can. Hope you enjoy it. Here we go....
I bought it on 11/11/11(such a great day, I can't forget). I bought it from a a guy who was working for a dealership but pretending to be just an individual. I didn't like him. I was able to contact her first and only owner before this dealership, he was an older businessman in Rhode Island. He maintained the car so well that it was ridiculously mint! He didn't have wife or kids or pets. And as he told me, all these years no one ever sat on the back seats! It had 128k miles on it and I was able to but it for 5 grand although it was listed for 6. So I am feeling very lucky!
-The pic I saved from craigslist
-The first mod, of course %30 tints all around.

-Smoked side markers, license plate frames and stupid tow hook(what was I thinking)

-Worst mod ever!! Some ebay headlights. The story; well i was new to the new gen BMW's and all i know was my father's E30, which i never got to enjoy enough. I had been seeing Angel Eyes on BMW's for quite some time but did not have any idea about them. I should have made my search on the forum about AE's, rather than trying to find them on ebay! So i found these which I thought everyone have on their cars! I learned the hard way that these were not the ones that I was supposed to get, AE's were retrofitted to the stock headlights.
whoa such a change lol. at least I'm not the only one who had their share of bad modifications. Can't wait until I can put real money into my car and make a build thread. I hate having to get rid of a mod that I thought would look awesome but in reality it sucks and then I have to get rid of it and wasting money KILLS ME. I'm so fed up with all my paint imperfections so I really just want to paint my whole car. Anyways good luck with it and swap it out for a manual hahaha

Sweet progress. Looks like a good repaint too. Although they did paint the ever-loving sh!t out of your spare tire well. hehe :p

I say you should remove the entire helper spring. If you're dropped all the way down, it's pretty likely that the helper spring is fully compressed no matter what the situation is. It must be more dangerous to run them cut than removing them entirely. If you need to raise it up, you still have the collars. But it's such a weak spring in the first place, and sits on the top of the strut, so it would be dangerous if it slipped off the perch and punctured a tire or whatever. Also more likely to break over bumps because the load is being put on the middle of the spring, not one of the formed bases

Awesome! So you bought a $5k car, put prob over $10k easy (and 36,294 man hours of thought/work), and now looking to get rid of it for an volkwagon lol.
I somehow dont see you actually going through with this sale, but good luck if you do.

Retrofitted it. There was a DIY somewhere on the forum that i have read long ago. I just remembered it and pretty much compromised things lol. I think i have a good memory and some courage.

Can't wait to see the new proyect ...good luck bro
Thanks bro! I appreciate it. :thanks:

Here is what I have now. I'll post a built thread of this guy sometime ;)

i beg you please don't do any atrocious modding monstrosities to a beautiful and limited run E39 M5.
Please in the name of Bavarian ///M please

Hey bro this was one nice ride and sucks you sold it but had a ? I have the exact same coilovers you had and have the same prob with the front being at the lowest thread and still not low enough, how did it ride when you trimmed half of the helper spring? Did it give it a good amount of drop? Im wanting to do either that or remove the entire helper spring but would like to know how this worked for ya first.

Looks like a lot of work u did on that car! Kept u very entertained it looks like too! Nice pick up/upgrade to the M5! Awesome cars u got!

Really like what you did with it some really cool individual mods! The only thing I'd have changed is the light inners would have looked better in gloss black IMO

Awesome none the less and look forward to seeing the m5

 Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I might have picked up another car but I will still update the LSB sedan. Here is what happened to it... Ta daaa :bump:

...and this is the M5. She is getting a surgery very soon too :shhh:
