I doubt he did that to go viral. The guy on the guitar looked to happy to be staged. Plus if you followed his whole career you would know that he's always given back to the community. Eventhough his mom was an actress, Kravitz still was humble. Sleeping on floors of musicians, learning and all that. So its not hard to see him giving back.

Staged or not it seemed pretty cool. I agree it didn't look it because the drummer seemed pretty surprised

If it wasn't staged (and I hope it's legit), the guys on the instruments showed excellent composure when he showed up, got on the drum kit, handed the sticks back and got on the mic. They kept the tune going pretty well when it would have been really easy to quit playing or start stumbling over themselves.

They were playing the same chorus and 4 chords over and over for 5 minutes. I could do that with a arrow in my knee.

Well, you're just that cool, then.

I'm not talking about the complexity of the music, I'm talking about a kid having the wherewithal to keep right on playing when a lot of people's reactions would have been "eehhhmagerd, gotta grab my phone and take self pics with famous rock star and update MyBookSpace status".
