5x112 does no fit on E46. You need bolts 5x120.

I know that. That is why i said adapter spacers. They will space the wheel and change the bolt pattern. But 5x120 is not very common for cars other than bmw. So if you buy a different bolt pattern you can have a larger selection.

I believe your offset would be et25 based on 15mm adaptors. you would probably have to roll your fenders and run a bit of a stretched tire if you are lowered.

It may make your car feel a little more sluggish. Because 18's will be bigger and usually heavier. (Depends on the wheel)

Ride quality may be a little harsher. Less tire between you and the road.

On top of that your brakes will look smaller through the wheels depending on the wheel design obviously.

Other than that, no issues, as long as you get the correct fitment.

It's 100% OEM sport springs and the B4's are essentially OE replacement shocks / struts. It does look a little high in that pic, but I believe I was almost out of gas and my rear seat wasn't in the car at the time. Here's another shot, shows off the ride height much more accurately:
