Wheel spacer 911!
I just finished upgrading my brakes to the oem big brake kit from ecstuning and when I go to back out of the garage for a test drive, I realize that the face of the caliper is rubbing on the spokes of my rims.
Where can I get a set of wheel spacers (probably only 2-5mm) so that I can get my car back on the road? To add insult to injury this happens today, so everyone will be closed tomorrow and is probably already gone for the day today. This is my dd so I'm really in a bind. |

Here are some pics of the damage. When all is said and done ill look for some gold touch up paint to stop any corrosion.

Autozone or oreilys has 7 mm spacers for like 20 bucks not hub centric so expect some vibrations at speed

Thanks. I found a universal set from advanced auto parts that will last me until I can get a hub centric set. I think I'll only need a few mm to clear the brakes

5mm and less doesnt need to be hub centric. There will be enough of the original hub showing to support the wheels.

Just ordered 4mm spacers from ECS. Tried installing the universal ones but it started to cross thread the hub so my car is sitting on jack stands while the guys at ECS enjoy their New Years. I priority overnighted them so hopefully they will be here by thursday.
In the meantime i will take a tap to the hub to try to clean up the threads. There was only damage to the first couple threads so i think the tap will be able to clean them up. I made sure that I got the longer wheel bolts as well, I think that was why the threads got damaged in the first place. |
