Exclamation ECU Please bring back the SES light!

Short Story: Need a way to get ECU to recheck the car and bring up the issues that i know still pertain on the car.

Hello, I will be taking my e46 M3 to the dealer tomorrow so they can see my check engine light or "Service engine Soon" light but i cleared the code yesterday morning with a scanner i had.

Wanted to know if there was a way to make my ecu recheck the car in hope of bringing the SES light back up. so that the Dealer can simply plug in their scanner and pull out a code.

Yesterday and today i have driven my car little over 100 miles in hope that the car would recheck but no luck.. and i think unplugging the battery would just clear the code again right?

The code i got is a generic code: Small evap Leak P0456

Thank you in advanced to any help.

If the code hasn't returned in 100 miles, I'm guessing you have an intermittent problem. Did you check pending codes?

After Plugging in my scanner again, I am allowed to scan without an error and i do see it as a Pending Code, the exact code i got when SES light was on. Awesome! the Dealer should be able to work with that i assume.

Thank you!
