Wood interior trim

I've been told that the interior trim on the 330ci w/sport pkg is wood. I've also been told it's plastic. Can anyone give me some clarification? Thx.

It is wood trim colored to make it look like wood and it is plastic. One of the few cars I know that had some real wood in it was older Lexus'

It's real wood. I know because I accidentally took a chip out of mine while replacing the regulator.

Well that should clear it up pretty definitively....'it is plastic'...oh wait...'Real wood'...hold on...'It's real wood'... or:'plastic moldings with actual wood'

Ive always wondered myself and have seen it claimed both ways.
So 2 votes for real wood and one for plastic. And now one vote for "both" plastic and wood!

Edited!

Maybe it's plastic moldings with actual wood trim on the inside.

Wood interior trim

Anyone "claiming" needs to stop. You've probably never touched it and don't know.

It's a real wood veneer over a plastic or sometimes metal backing. Veneer is a very thin material. Thin enough to be somewhat flexible.

Again, it's real wood.

When I took mine apart and switched it, mine was plastic, then a metal layer, then a wood veneer followed by some sort of thick resin. This is why it probably gets confused quite a bit. I replaced mine for aluminum brush now though, I like it much more even though it can get kind of hot in the summer time.
