Eagle Eye Headlight Bulb Replacement

Hello, I was wondering what bulbs come in the Eagle Eye Halo headlights for the E46 coupe. I was wanting to get some better bulbs for it and want to know what size bulb they take. I do know the regular OEM lights take H7. These Eagle Eye headlights are projector on one side. I also know they have a dust cap on the back covering the lights, and was wondering if I would have to take the lights back off the car to get to the bulb (it's a tight spot..) thanks!

Most likely it will be H7 since that's what most of the aftermarket headlight assemblies take such as Depo. To be sure take off the cap so you don't get the wrong bulbs.

I'll take the headlights off again to get to the cap. It's a really tight spot. However, I don't think they're H7. The first time I opened the cap (when I installed them) I believe the shape was different and had screws? And wires coming from them. Thank you for the reply! I'll go Depo next time as Eagle Eyes, as I've discovered, aren't the best sometimes.

Definitely get OEM, the classifieds section always has OEM Xenon assemblies for sale, just replace the lens on it and it will look brand new. I wish FL Coupe has replacement lenses =(

Are the OEM xenon's a direct fit into non-xenons assuming same body style? Do people generally sell the ballasts and igniters with them?

Well, I bought Eagle Eyes for the halo lights on them. Next time I'll definitely go OEM, especially tail lights. Some LED bulbs are burned out on my tail lights and it gives me errors sadly.

Are OEM Xenon assemblies direct replacements for non-xenon lights? My coupe didn't come with xenon lights.

My low beam looks weak as compared to the other side. My mechanic says I need a new assembly. Can the build be changed and how hard is it to do 2002 330ci with sport package.

Steve, do you have oem projector headlights? Does the bulb output look different in color? Especially if one looks purplish/pink. If so replace both bulbs. First I would swap them around to see if the dimmer bulb moves to the other side.

Then get either these

or these if you have the cash. They are the best bulbs on the market
