Cold Start problem

Hi hope someone can help me I just got a 318i e46 2003 when it's cold it starts up straight away then after about 4 seconds it cuts out. I have to keep cranking it about 10 seconds then it starts again then cuts out I have to repeat process about 5 times then it starts if I give it gas it cuts out then I start it again idles really rough car shakes. When car reaches normal temp idle settles down no misfires sounds perfect drives OK too. Has anyone else had this problem will post fault codes later.
Thank you
