Tonneau cover latch issue?

Ok, so all is working well with the top, goes up and down as it should. My problem is at the beginning and end of the opening/closing procedure when the tonneau lid gets locked. It sounds like it just keeps trying to lock and then the red light blinks. It sounds as if it continues to try latching every 30 seconds, but will stop after a while, and the light goes out. Then randomly it will click again and the light flashes.

The sound (from the drivers seat) sounds like it is the passenger side latch, not the drivers side, and not from under the seat where the flap motor is. Could it still be the flap motor, or is it the lock itself?

I tried looking on the forum for a thread with the same problem but didn't see one, my apologies if this problem has already been addressed in another thread.

have you gotten the error codes read yet? will probably help you diagnose the problem.

I don't have a code reader. When I have time I'm going to pull the back seat and eyeball the cables to the flap motor, as well as open the cover to visually inspect the latches.

My hope though is that someone had this same problem and fixed it. The error code(s) whatever it/they is/are, do not prevent any operation of the top whatsoever.
