@Daniel: Thank you so much! Herzlichen Dank für deine Arbeit!

I read all "ALL" Posts in this Thread. It costs me days of my Lifetime... but it was worth it.

I Have a Question. I understand everything. I wrote some Maps and testes some on my car.
Now i bought a SuperCharger Kit.
I do not understand the MAF Hack. Can somebody explain it to me?

What i wanna do:

My Engine is a M54B25. I will mount a Rotrex C30-94 with about 8.5PSI Boost.
I think my original MAF of the B25 couldn't handle that.. So i will mount the one from B30 , right? I think the B30 MAF can Handle it... i think 1024 kg/h is enough for my Boost and the B25 Engine.

What i understand is, i need to Modify the ID_MAF_TAB with the Values of the M54B30 MAF ... anything ELSE?
Is there anything in the 512kb File need to be edited?

Althogh i wanna Use the Injectors from M54B30 with 4,5 Bar Presure. So they will deliver around 310ccm. The only thing to change is the Injector Dead Times? Or should i use the complete M54B30 Injector Settings?

Thank you guys!!

Bye Bye!
the maf hack is a way to double at least the amount of air ECU can read.

of course you need the b30 maf. i think it will be enough for b25 engine and 8,5psi. you just copy the b30 values in maf_tab map. you don't need the maf hack.

for the fuel pressure you can use 5bar fuel pressure regulator from e46 m3. it fits perfect in the e39 filter housing.
you could change the injector constants but since you're going FI you'd better adjust all injection maps. b30 settings won't be enough.

Thank you for the advise.
Do you think there will be an increase of Power if i Mount the M54B30 Intake and ThrottleBody too? I have everything here, i can mount it or not.
I thought for FI there is no increase of Power, because i'm comming with 60mm Pipe to the Throttle Body and then it doesent matter if the Throttle body is 65mm or 75mm or whatelese... or am i wrong?

Thnak you guys!

Bye Bye

well, if i were in your position i would mount everything from b30(injectors,maf,intake,throttle body), even the b30 software and start adjusting the b30 maps.

Can anybody take a look at my file and see what might be causing my erratic idle? Running out of ideas

what formula are you using for injector scaling? New/OLD multiply?

I solved that problem. Turned out to be the injectors I had didn't like to idle under 1.3ms 🏎💨

So if you increase the injection maps by X amount. what stops the DME completely readjusting that anyway? iv never understood this because of course the DME always wants lamba 1

The maps are what the DME starts from with lambda giving corrections.

The corrections are slow to change, so if the maps are lean in one area and rich in others there problems when moving around.

You want the corrections to be as close to 0 as you can get. Then you will get the best performance and fuel usage, especially when constantly changing rpm and load.

Eyup lads

I have a bmw e46 330ci completely stock. My idle gets rough from time to time even stalls sometimes other than that it runs fine.

I first thought it could easily be a vacuum leak or unmetered air coming from somewhere so I started checking various places (bottom intake boot and usual ICV, vacuum system) I found nothing.

I logged the fuel trims and they are coming in at -8.6% Long term! From these figures im assuming im running too rich as though im not getting enough air so the vacuum leak theory has sort of gone to pot.

When I unplug my MAF everything it fine.

NOW....

I know unplugging the MAF can cover up vac leaks or air leaks of any sort. BUT... Surely i would be getting posotive fuel trims rather than negative so would this suggest to you guys my MAF is faulty?
