Just Another M54 Turbo Build. By the People, for the People

Thanks, while the car is up as I install the widebody kit I will finally be installing the rear handbrake calipers, wide angle kit, and updating to boost by gear. Also picked up some beefy 135i calipers from the junkyard for bargain and and hoping they will fit my new wheels with csl rotors, attached via burkhart engineering adapters.

I ran the car at 19psi before I pulled it off the road and it was mental!

Where did you get this from?

I've been on the fence about going with a wide body, but haven't found anything I liked....

It's the DTM fiberwerks V2 fender flare kit. It doesn't fit perfectly because it's for an M3 but has been very easy to make fit with a little sanding. Using rivnuts/machine screws to attach it so they are quickly removable.

Looking good on your car, but it might be too much on mine.

Yeah it's definitely aggressive. Had to order custom wheels to fit. 18x11 all around (max tire size for time attack is 275)

Love your project man. I recently discovered that i can get a preface 330 manual in Sweden for like half of what i payed for my 320D
So suddenly a project car like yours looks very feasible over 5 years or so Definitely gonna watch your project and use it as reference of sorts

Really like the hack engineering lid. High price for one piece of the oil cooler puzzle though

Are you still going to be running the MS43 when you switch to boost by gear?

Probably yes, as gear-dependand boost is possible with some code hacking.

Just Another M54 Turbo Build. By the People, for the People

An update. Widebody kit has been attached. I have t off now for some spray paint before I plastidip the car again. I have a professional kit for this so it comes out very well, and runs me 250 in supplies.

The hydraulic handbrake is fully functional. Can't wait to try this out! The SLR mini kit is also installed which should give me some more steering rate and angle, along with roll center and bump steer correction.

Getting corner balanced and aligned on Wednesday. Was going through the exhaust I had made and it had some serious issues with shoddy workmanship so I am fabbing up a new mid pipe myself. I am by no means an expert welder, and just have a flux core welder, but it still is looking better than before. Will likely make a 3" downpipe to replace the 2.5" this summer.

Other than that I got some junkyard 135i calipers, ecs tuning two piece csl size rotors, and adapters from Germany. I will be running ebc blue stuff, pretty good deal.

All in all, it's coming down to the wire, but the car should be pretty well prepped for its first time attack "race" on April 8th.

I think the WTCC kit has some potenial, I'm not super crazy about the sharp angles on the wheel wells but that could be the owners execution.

First race April 8th and you're somewhat local....hmm coincidence or are you prepping for Mid-O gridlife?

Which class are you running!? just found your build and am super impressed with the work. And always stoked to have more bimmers running local events!
