Central Locking Switch Problem

Hello guys, this is my first post on this forum, hope you all can help somehow

So I have a common problem that many other people do, except mine is a little bit different. It has to do with the Central Lock Switch, My hazards button works but the lock button doesn't.

I have a 1999 323i, just bought it recently (new to the BMW family), while theres other issues with the car, but this is one that has me going crazy.. I spent the whole day reading about this issue, watching videos, and in every single post everyone kept saying the same, or had the same exact solution to the problem. (Tape the box or Glue the box together).

I took off the part and it was it was not loose, therefore taping it or glueing it would not be the solution in my opinion, after I realized that the box was in good shape (not lose or broken) I decided to disassemble it, and tested only the board without the box... Same thing Hazards worked, but lock button didn't.
After researching for more hours, I could never find a solution, but I did realize that the plug which hooks up to the switch had only 5 little cables (Im not an expert in electric stuff like this), and the plug has 6 holes.. therefore I started thinking maybe "it's missing the other cable!", but im not certainly sure if that's how it should be or not? And that's a reason why it kept me from looking online for a replacement Central Lock Switch, how is it gonna work if it's missing one of the cables in the plug?

Anyways, I hope one of you all can help me with this..

Below is the Central Lock Switch (just posted it to make sure you knew which one I was referring to)

central locking will not work if the body module thinks driver's door is always open. You have to read the codes on the body module, it will say if any codes and what you need to do to fix. Use PAsoft 1.4 scanner

Wow, so the central locking will never ever work if the drivers door is open? Why is this? And is it only the driver's door that affects it?

But I actually just tried it, and it worked with the driver's door closed, like I said since it is new, I haven't really gotten much time with it yet. But thank you!

Anti lock out feature.

I forget as I do not try often, however, if the drivers door is open, or thinks it is open, the central locking system will not lock the drivers door. Again, would have to try to see what happens with the entire car, however, I recall you can at least unlock all doors if the drivers door is open, I recall that you just cannot lock the drivers door.

Again, this is an anti lock out feature.

As for your problem in more detail, suggest you possibly look at www.bmwgm5.com and also check all fuses. Sometimes drinks get spilled in the console and cause the switch to have issues even if the guts have not blown out the back of the switch.

Mine is not this easy.

Hazards work, central lock does not...however the key fob also needs a battery, any correlation?

No locking or unlocking? Nothing from central locking button? Nothing from the remote and nothing from the key in the drivers door keyhole? The remote key may be bad, but, I doubt it needs a new battery.
