2004 e46 exterior door trim.. retrofit possible?

Hey everyone,

Was curious if it's possible to retrofit the 'shadowline' style trim to my '04 325xi. The factory trim around the doors frankly looks like garbage imo, the shadowline style is way better looking to me. Not to mention, one of the far rear (strongly curved) sections has detached itself from the car, and of course the little white clips snapped as well.

If a retrofit is overly expensive, what steps would I take to replace what I currently have with new parts?

Thanks for reading.

It's prohibitively expensive. Just get it wrapped with some nice vinyl.

+1, 3M 1080 off eBay Use this seller.....
( http://www.ebay.com/usr/ikonwrapconc...p2047675.l2559) they carry a ton of different 1080 wraps. Stay away from their Arlon stuff, it's great but a little too thin and not as manageable in my opinion. I used them a bunch while my interior trim was going through it's identity crisis. Super great communication, insanely fast free shipping (one day in a few cases) and their prices are great for the amount you get.

It's amazing what you can do with a heat gun (or a hair dryer is you are too scared of the heat gun heat).

Thanks for the help, both of you; very kknowledgable. Will definitely get to wrapping the trim sooner or later though as it is faded and looks iffy. I was more concerned with getting the aforementioned piece of the trim in the correct position, i.e. so that it doesn't get slammed in a weird position whenever it's corresponding door is open and shut (white clips??)
