Thumbs down 01 330ci rough idle, no start... unusual suspect? help!

My 01 330ci started to idle rough a few weeks ago paired with a constant red battery light. Ok, no problem I said. Voltage of battery at 12.7 and tested good. Voltage running is 13.8 and alternator tested good. Starter is fine, all my connections are fine, no blown fuses anywhere.

This left me at a loss. I went so far as to replace crank and cam sensors which also did nothing. Charged battery. Nothing. Decided to reset computer. Nothing.

As time goes on the problem worsens. Idle becomes more rough. All coils test fine, replace spark plugs and still come up short. The traction control light comes on shortly after. Then I have no power to the heating and cooling system. Then the radio stops working.

So this morning I went to start it. The only features that powered on were features that work when the key is in position 1. So I start to push it into the garage as it won't start (no power to fuel pump, it cranks but no start.)

Here's the kicker. I had the key in position 2 to push it and out of the blue the cluster illuminates and the pump primes. Hell yes! I start it up and make it 5 feet until all of this cuts out again and I start to push. Now it's got a mind of its own choosing when it wants to power the cluster and pump.

I'm at my wits end. What do we think here guys? Dme malfunction? Ignition switch?

The battery is under a year old. I even went as far as the run it with a buddies battery with the same result.

Check the engine to body ground. On the North American cars it is under the car near the right side motor mount, usually the frame side goes bad.
