2004 330Ci Xenon right headlight out. No dash indicator.

Lurked around trying to find an answer to this, but I cannot find someone having the equivalent problem.

Here's the situation:
Few months back, right headlight burned out. Started swapping components, narrowed it down to the ballast. Received the replacement, new ballast didn't fix. ****. Turns out the wiring leading into the ignitor had sheared somehow. Retied the wires, everything back to normal.

Recently, the same headlight started to flicker when i was going over bumps/pulling into my driveway. Always came back on though after the initial flicker. Now it's totally off. Won't turn on at all.

The rub is: My dash light indicating a burnt out light isn't lit. No fuses out.

I currently don't have the garage space to pull out the headlight and check the ballast and have swapped both bulb and ignitor to no success. I noticed that there were wires again cut coming from the plug into the ignitor, but splicing them together didn't fix anything. (Note this time, instead of all 3 wires cut; 2 were, with ground being intact).

So, would anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing the burnt out light AND no indicator on the dash? Or are the problems just coincidental and its just the ballast?

Google "BMW E46 hidden obc functions." One of the tests will test the gauge cluster. See if the indicators for bad bulbs are working.

Thanks for that suggestion, I can now say the instrument cluster is functioning properly. (All dash lights and gauges worked using submenu 2.0).

Would anyone know what triggers the "light out"? Does it test for continuity of the circuit, is there active monitoring, etc? I'm currently wondering if my there's an issue with the ground wire. However, I'm not an electric wizard.

I'm trying to avoid pulling the headlight out as much as is possible.

PO of the car might have disabled the bulb out? If I was closer I would check for you.
