Throttle body issues again :(

Hey everyone! First post on this forum but I'm having an issue that's driving me crazy!
First off I have a 2000 323i made 05/00
I installed subwoofers (1600 watts) I turned up the volume and the car went into limp mode. Restarted it and the car ran fine. Fast forward 3 weeks it got to the point where I would start my car and it would go into limp mode. If I let it sit in limp mode idling for around ten minutes then restart the car it would run fine. I did this for a couple weeks. Eventually the car would not leave limp mode. So, I am doing everything in my power to not shovel out 600 dollars for a new throttle body. I Baught new vacuum hoses and was going to start their.

As I removed the intake boots (torn) I got to the throttle body and noticed the cable was extremely loose. Also some previous owner super glued the cables ball to the throttle body (not ideal but it holds lol) so the big question here is
1. Could a loose throttle cable cause my issues
2. Could tightening this cable and resetting the dme via turning the key and pushing the peddle fix my issues.
3 is there a way to test the throttle body to see if it is reading right?

Their is a car show in omaha Nebraska I have been waiting a year to bring her to and now I have 2 weeks to fix her

I'm getting the codes (p158, p0101, p1421, p1423, p1622)

Hi, welcome to the forum. I can't see how installing a sub would cause this unless it was a ground problem with the amplifier. Have you tried disconnecting the amp and sub?

This post might help you diagnose your issue with P1421 and P1423.

P1622 suggests you have faulty thermostat. How is your temp gauge? Use the hidden functions to display your temp digitally on the dash.

Thank you for the fast reply!, I did Uninstall the sound system completely and restarted the motor a few times before I decided to undertake replacing stuff. It seemed to not change anything, as to the links Wich are awsome help.I will have to see tomorow as we are experiencing a crazy humid heat wave here in the Midwest for past couple days! Extremely grateful for the response!
And my temp gauge appears to be normal but because of my intake being off I won't be able to start the motor until my I take gasket arrives in the mail
