H7 projectors with LEDs recommendations

Hi everyone,

I recently installed H7 LEDs on my Bmw 318i with halogen reflectors, they are much better than halogens though i am thinking of further upgrading to projectors for their better light beam characteristics.

From what i've read, the easiest option is to retrofit mini H1 projectors as they are a direct replacement with no modding, but as they are designed for H1 bulbs they probably won't work with H7 LEDs because of their larger size.

So, can anyone recommend me any HID projector (or even better LED) retrofit for e46 that works with my H7 LED bulbs?
I also read somewhere that D2S projectors can be made to work with H7 bulbs with an adapter, but if that's true, I can't seem to find it anywhere.

P.S. These are the LEDs that i have:

I appreciate everyone's opinions,

Well there aren't any xenon projectors that use H7. Also you read wrong for the adapters. It's usually so that you can fit a D2S bulb into an H7 headlight. There's no need for that anymore since we have rebased bulbs now.

I Would probably go with halogen projectors I guess. Look for some Valeo H7 projectors. They pretty much work the same as the HID ones and would be your best bet if you want to keep the H7 bulbs you have. But honestly, it would be better for you to just do the mini-H1s with the HID. It will be brighter than the LEDs.

Learned from experience.

No HID projector will allow LED to show its potential. HID projectors are designed for HID bulbs and will not allow LED show their true potential. If you insist, you can try ordering some optics to attach to your LED bulbs, but I haven't "the ONE" yet. Alternatively look at retrofitting LED projectors directly if you insist on having LED projectors.

So far best LED Projector options are Optima Bi-LED (low&high beams) and Koito LED (low beam only). Complete kit (projector&"ballast") of Optima Bi-LED can cost around 400-500$ from Europe.

You can search some russian videos about Optima Bi-LED and some tear down videos clearly show how different reflector shroud is setup for led.

Russian video with original Optima Bi-LED and some modifications that were made.

LED in a projector made for HID will be perfect if you want flood light.
