it will just be a downgrade if you stick with the DEPO projectors. But I'm sure you could just find a used working headlight and not even have to go through the trouble of taking your current one apart to fix it. It'll be cheaper than the DEPO new I'm sure

ok, so question. since i bunged up my level adjustment gear drive, what are some likely sources to acquire another? is it replaceable? safe to assume i should successfully disassemble the lamp assembly, (I.E. the ball joint for the adjusting arm) replace it and get the lamp assembly back together? i was in a jam, so i picked up a working complete lamp assembly off ebay (from a 330 coupe built a month before mine) if the vin that was posted was accurate... in the long run i would really like to have the original lamp assembly back in if its somewhat practical.
