3.46 diff $150 OBO

3.46 Diff in great condition. I swapped in a 3.07 diff. I didn't like how high the RPMs were on the highway after the 5-spd swap. Nothing is wrong with the diff. It works perfectly. So please don't get the idea I took it out because it had issues. Had 190k miles when removed.

Located in Shrewsbury, MA 01545

Asking $150

I would prefer not to ship, but will ship on buyers dime.

Not sure what you mean flanges? As far as I know the diffs are the same for an auto or manual.

This site should help answer your question. I believe 65 mph was around 3000 rpms.

Now that I think about it. I do believe I had to swap the flanges on the diff I put in with the one from the 3.46 diff. So the ones on the diff now are manual flanges. If the flanges you are referring to are the axle shafts.

It is actually not that difficult. Here is a link that might help you see what is involved. No special tools needed. It took me about 2 hours to do it. Would of had it done quicker if I did not blast my finger taking off the sway bar. Ended up losing my nail I smashed it that hard.

Anyway take a look.

The 3.46 diff came out of my 323iT. The input flanges are from a ZHP 330i actually. I kept the flanges from my 323iT to fit the ZHP 3.07 diff I put in my car. As far as i know you can swap out any e46 non-M flanges into any non-M E46 diff.
