FS: BMW 330i ZHP M54B30 Sport Wagon Touring (325 Professionally Swapped)
I am the proud owner of a forum member's previous car. I've spent the last year cleaning her up and am listing it for sale here. I am fairly passionate about cars and am lucky to have had an E30 M3 and E28 M5 in the garage for a few years each. I'm selling this car to go small again, to a 128 or 135.

I have a very remarkable car. Itís a 330 wagon, formerly a 325. It is my favorite classic wagon shape with the spirit and feel of a modern car. I seem to prefer car design from the early 2000s, many of which Iíve owned. I often wish those cars had some more modern characteristics. This car thankfully solves most all of those needs in a tasteful package. The car is smile inducing and surprises everyone who gets inside. It comfortably edges a brand new 328 both from the line and on the freeway. It is powerful, has tasteful and restrained upgrades and even a back-up camera. Details are below.

This is an extremely rare and excellent example of a clean and well-cared-for BMW Sport Wagon.
Under my watch, the car has been maintained at Foreign Sports Technicians in Santa Monica and Superformance in West Los Angeles, the same place that has taken care of my E30 M3 and E28 M5. Iíve been taking my cars to Johnny since 1994. The engine swap has been done at such a high level that both shops couldnít believe it when they popped the hood.
This is my 24th car. I am one of those people who doesnít like it when little things donít work and I always sell a car in better shape than I buy it. I have done my best to repair and maintain all necessary items on this car and as of this writing it is in fabulous shape and needs nothing immediately. You can see a list of what was done and what needs to be done below.
3.0 ZHP Engine swapped from a 2005 ZHP sedan from another E46Fanatics forum member. 235 HP at 5900 rpm, 10 HP more than a standard 330. 222 lb-ft of torque at 3500, 8 more than a 330. These measurements are prior to the ECU tuning. Redline is 6800 rpm, 300 rpm more than a standard E46 330. And considerably more than the original 325i engine as you all know.

Needed / upcoming repairs:
There is some fabric wrinkles in the A-pillar headliner.
Tires will need replacing soon.
The moonroof cover is loose and needs to be put back on track.
The exterior shows like a younger car. There are 2 small door dings on the passenger side and a very small impression next to the gas tank filler. There are a few paint chips in the spoiler and outside the driverís door, possibly from the seatbelt getting caught. The wheels have a few bits of curb rash as can be expected with a car this age. The paint has no oxidation, itís smooth to the touch. Overall the car looks gorgeous in person.
The interior is in excellent shape and the driverís sport seats shows less wear than the age of the car, especially for a light interior. As noted above, there is some wrinkling around the A-pillar headliner which should be a breeze to fix, as well as the moonroof cover which is off track. Except for hairline creases in the driverís seat the interior looks virtually new.
This is a surprising, awesome, reliable and modernized classic.
The car is garaged in West LA near Santa Monica Blvd. and Westwood Blvd.

Hi Bennet. Thank you. Yes, it seems he wanted to swap out the tranny (I wish he had) prior to the sale. In the spirit of transparency, the original asking price he had was $14k. It sold for around $11k. I put another $5k into it. I am close to finding my 1-series so here we are.

Thanks guys- this is great to hear. Obviously a couple of errors as the specs in the summary are not from the ZHP engine and don't really reflect the neck-jerking capabilities added by the ECU. It's nice to get some love from the crew. I wonder who will end up with it.

too bad this is not a manual with black,red, or brown interior. You should put a link to this thread in the "tourings for sale" section! the conversion looks amazing and you have a lot of nice original items...

Thanks Challenger. I saw the rules in the Tourings For Sale section and it seemed to prohibit the owner listing his own car- was just trying to be respectful of the forum rules! Did I misinterpret the rules? And 100% agree on black+red+manual. Ideal.

i am not sure about the rules, but that would be kind of dumb. I am new here, so i was only looking for tourings for sale in the tourings section, and decided today to come over here to see what is going on... maybe re-check that rule as that doesn't seem to make sense to me...

Hello everyone. Thanks again for all the awesome notes and interest. I have finally found my 1 series!!!!!! I'm super psyched! The ZHP is ready for its new garage. As a courtesy to whoever the future owner is, I took the car in to my specialist just yesterday, did an early oil change and had it checked out, we changed a bulb. That was about it. it's good to go. Offers are all coming in around the same price which is $10k. I understand most buyers are remote so I've made a close-up video of the entire car, let me know if you need to see it. Gonna let it go this week, prefer it goes to one of you guys, then B.A.T.!

Remarkable. The buyer is a car dealer- I'm wondering if he is simply flipping it. He paid close to my asking price. He would get a higher price on his auction if he used my photos, that's for sure.
