did you do anything about the cel for it?
How did you delete it? Did you make a block off plate for it or is there a kit I can buy?

Some people just leave the valve bolted to cylinder head on, and pull everything else off.

A little piece of 3/8" aluminum plate cut to size with 2 holes drilled through it is all that's really required otherwise.

I ordered a block-off plate from the Euro model I think....was silly expensive...should have just used a piece of aluminum.

Yup.

I ordered that from BMW, then also found one on a cylinder head I bought from Sweden.

So I just got this oil cooler in. Do you think it's large enough to be effective on a track day? Could always put a larger one in the fender well with a fan

Also I finally got the rear rotors back from the machine shop. I needed the inside lip meant for the ebrake shoes removed because the interfered with the calipers I got. They looked the same as stock but aren't quite. Hopefully will have them welded in soon, had some issues making brackets. Now have some steel nubs sent to me that should help get a strong mount going from SRS.

I think this oil cooler is big its twice thicker the one i got. But if i were you i would place it in the fender so the radiator gets all the air flow so ur engine doesnt overheat where oil can be cooled with a fan in the fender area
Or i see u got this hood with fins in it ,you could place oil cooler near it i guess

Yeah I'm going to pull off the front fender tomorrow to see how much area I have to work with. The car will have a splitter soon that I'm making, so that should help with directing air toward the CSF upgraded rad a bit more directly. Once drove a rx7 race car that overheated without the splitter.
Luckily I have a while to exchange oil coolers from summit.

I'm not sure the extent of cooling these engines need?

Getting down to some grunt work I need to get out of the way. Fixing exhaust, found the meyle hd diff bushings busted within 5k miles of turbo power while installing finned diff cover, rear sway drop-link seized, also rear driveshaft cv joint rubber and gasket in questionable condition. At least finding them now, and not while at an event

Are you going to replace the diff bushings with rubber or poly?

Changing them out with 88A poly ECS Tuning brand diff bushings. I am also installing poly rtabs while I have Mflara's tool rental. I was running z4m bushings with limiters. Waiting on the parts right now, ship date got pushed back, hopefully done by end of weekend

Got all the diff bushings in. While throwing in the poly rtabs I welded the seam on the mount. Not sure if it needed it but didn't think it could hurt. Still learning to weld so don't hate on my welds too much haha

That stuff isn't always easy to weld on, as it is not always "virgin" steel. I've seen professional welders struggle with contamination, with perfect prep and technique. I don't think what you did will hurt the parts....it's nice to see you "doing stuff"! Most people are stuck in an armchair....
