Thanks mate.
Not too hard actually. I used Planted floor mounts.
Basically marked inside the car where the seats need to sit and then mounted the seat onto the mount outside the car. Then installed as one when it was ready.
Much easier and quicker than previous Vac motorsport/macht schnell pieces

Wow, i bet that cost a few pennys. CSL parts must be hard to come by.

How is the weight, compared to the stock lid?

They are made from a special plastic? Not CF?

Negotiated with eBay seller for US $1400 delivered. That included boot lid plus all new genuine badges, and wiring for licence plate lights and lights themselves.

Regarding the weight, there isn't much in it to be honest. If someone is looking for weight saving best is to buy aftermarket carbon or fiberglass boots.
Yeah I think CSL boot is made from plastic

Last time i owned this car, i had a Supersprint race muffler on, which i sold after the car sold. more recently i modified the OEM muffler which sounded very good but i always wanted to go back to SS race if the opportunity came. now that the british pound is crap, the muffler is 'affordable'. lets face it, you are paying for noise, weight saving and not power gain. anyways, couple of pics

this pic if off the internet. i was too excited to get it fitted and forgot to take a pic lol

Nah mate. Stock headers. Modified mid section into a single 3" resonated x pipe. Then SS muffler

finally had a chance to get some genuine LED tails. been running aftermarket ones all this time, and while they look just about identical, when the lights are on the aftermarket ones are much much brighter and obviously annoying for people sitting in traffic behind me.

also installed a SS lightweight race system

Little bit of rear end maintenance. The diff bushes were completely shot. On E46 M3's you can not buy the genuine diff cover bushes individually on their own. A whole new cover must be purchased with bushes already pressed in. I didnt want to go with anything but OEM just to prevent any extra noises..

Nice. How are you finding the handling? Not sure what your suspension set up you're using

i run it on the firmer side of things. more specifically what Thorney motorsport in UK suggest for M3/CSL set up.. (ive set up as Track/dry)

Track/Dry

Front Rear
Bump of one turn of one turn
Rebound -1/2 of one turn 1 of one turn

Track/Wet

Front Rear
Bump 1 full turn 1 full turn
Rebound 1 full turn 2 full turns

Road

Front Rear
Bump 1 full turn 1 turn
Rebound 1 full turns 2 full turns

I'm sure the settings should be fine as a starting point, then tweak the settings from there .

Also how do you find the Advans? How many hot laps can you do before they start to lose grip?

the track days i do are very light in terms of what you are probably used to and are thinking lol. in perth we dont have decent track options which sucks. the two events i usually do have a set-up of one warm up lap, 3 hot laps and one cooldown lap. (each lap is around 55-70sec time). i dont have traction issues with the car (could be due to them being awesome, or me not pushing hard enough haha)> i do it for a bit of fun and certainly wouldnt wanna bin the car hehe
