Black on black is a bad idea from the start, lol.
There's no contrast, so how can it look decent? It resembles missing grilles.

The exterior colors that can pull off black kidneys are white and red imo.

I had similar issues with the piano black grilles on my imola red 330. They stayed on but some tabs cracked and it just didn't seem to fit well. I chalked it up to me installing them wrong. I'm excited to see how the Ecs grilles fit

Well mine look like crap because one is sticking out because two tabs broke. What's the best way to silicone them in? Do I get some clear silicone and use duct tape to hold them in while it is drying?

Silicone them in?????????????

Don't be cheap... Buy new, even crappy/cheap ebay ones are better than gluing them in.

I want to say I got lucky I got my khoalty piano blacks before they stopped selling them, but fitment was poor and some tabs broke. Oh well, I some how managed to fit them on the car, and they do look nice. Can't really complain considering the cheap price they sell them for.

Glad I'm not the only one that had the tabs break. I was just disappointed how Khoalty did not stand behind their product. They could have sent a replacement for the left side where two of the tabs broke and kept my future business.

It's the "blacked out" look. I didn't like it that much though and went back to my chromes that were much better quality anyway.

That's very tempting but I like the gloss/piano black bc it matches the ZHP trim around the windows

Speaking of these grilles, does anyone have a good write up on how these are installed? I've seen some conflicting videos on YouTube

By any chance does anyone have a driver side khoalty grill in piano black laying around. I guess someone tried stealing mine and broke 2 fins on my driver side grill, khoalty obviously doesn't have these anymore so I'm resorting to this thread, haha.

I got these grills from ECS Tuning and have been very happy with them!

^^^Those grilles are thick, strong, look good, and fit tight.

Ive had 2 sets of Aftermarket ABS plastic black grills. None of them fit like the OEM ones. Finally bit the bullet and bought the performance OEM ones and never looked back.

I can understand your frustration with the crappy aftermarket grilles. The ECS ones are really really good though, much better than OE even.

I made the mistake of telling my wife I wanted glossy black grills from ECS, and sent her the link to OEM Performance as an example, while fully intending to go with aftermarket. She decided to surprise me for Christmas and bought the OEM grills. They look nice, fit great, but cost double of the aftermarket grills. I was happy, but I'm also a cheapskate, and feel like there was $60 I could have spent on something else my car needs. Have to be careful next time I share my wishlist with my wife.
