setup INPA without a car

Hi all,

I'm still looking for a car. I have a laptop setup with INPA and last time I brought it with me it threw an error saying it could not find an object.

I fixed it last night by running as admin.

Is there any way to set everything up at home so when I do find something I can just plug in and go?

You got the right tree, but just maybe not a lot of folks have experience with INPA.

You really need to test the setup on a car to know for sure it's working correctly. It is tricky to install and set up and so many things can go wrong. See if you can get access to an E46, E39, E53, E36/8, E38, etc., to test it on.

If you need something while shopping for a BMW to scan ECUs, read codes, etc., I would use OBD Fusion and PA Soft BMW Scanner 1.4 instead.

yea, INPA and NCS is a bit tricky to setup, you'll definitly want a car available to test it out. I would also second in getting PA Soft 1.4. BMW scanner, much much easier to setup and use.
