This is all kinds of awesome! Thanks for sharing some of the build pics.

Did Technica make a jig for the front subframe and mounts? Would love to buy a set!

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Would you mind giving us a sense of pricing for a swap like this? Does the motec handle all the CAN issues or was that done with something else?

yes the M150 Motec can handle it all, they even have their own traction control system that just has to be programmed in to work with the wheel speed sensors, factory radio, cluster, everything works fine like a normal street driven M3. Only thing is you have to be in a non emissions county as the OBD2 port doesnt align with it, which I live in so all good there.
Cost, all in with donor car, engine/trans, labor, CSL roof everything..about what a new 2017 M3 costs..

You better link it when it's up

will do he emailed me and said it was one of the quicker E46 M3 he has driven, the steering he said felt a little weird due to the extra linkage Technica made to clear the exhaust header on drivers side, but other than that he said he would have had no clue an S65 was in it as far as ride and handling. But when you punch it, whole other ball game. HE said the sound is great too..glad I went with Dinan rear exhaust.

^ thanks man, was a long time vision since owning both cars, taking the lighter more agile E46 M3 chassis which I perfer and putting a lighter more flexible S65 V8 in it(i like this engine better), a homage to the 2002 M3 GTR that dominated Lemans racing for 2 years
