I dropped my rear diff in my 2002 M3 and replaced all the shaft seals. The front driveshaft seal and the right axle shaft seal are bone dry. The left axle shaft seal continues to drip fairly heavily despite replacing it 4 more times. I tried hammering the seal in with bearing install tools, then I tried pressing it in slowly with a shop press and a perfectly sized ring to push on the seal. I lubed the shaft seal and output flange and it continues to leak the same amount regardless of what I do. What the hell is going on? Any ideas? I'm starting to think there's a problem with the output flange, shaft, or diff itself. I attached a pic of the diff output flange....I've been installing this with the breather indent facing up.
Thanks for the help
