So right now I have my angel eyes wired to the accessory cable in the fuse box under the hood, so they will come on as DRLs but I also wanted the fade in/fade out. So I ran a wire through the firewall and tapped the footwell light like most people do. My problem is that if I use only the footwell source they dont come on as DRLs and if i use both it complete a circuit and causes the interior dome lights to be on all the time.
how should i go about connecting it so i have both features? DRL and fade out
Follow the steps on fastm.com and that's it. The trigger wire to the correct ECU wire will make the angel eyes turn on when the key is in position 2 and when the car is on. The other trigger wire coming from the relay has to go through the firewall and goes to the positive wire on the footwell light. That will make the angel eyes fade on/off when you unlock/lock the car or they will stay on when the interior lights are on. The ECU trigger wire overrules the footwell wire.
If you have DRL lights enabled find a shop or local fanatic that can code them off.
I just ordered some LED Halos which comes with the relays so I can connect to the interior lights. My question is, I have disabled my DRL bulbs, and I want the HALO's to only be on when my headlights are off (so they are my DRL) and turn off when my headlights are off.
Which wire will I need to tap in order for this to happen for me?
