You should be using Leatherique in my opinion. Great product.

Was this a joke? You shouldn't use either of them on leather. Ever. At all. Those are protectants for PLASTIC.

Don't know how my daughter does it, but this is the second tire she destroyed in about two weeks. And this time it wasn't just the tire, either...

Luckily the car came with an extra wheel. And luckily I was able to buy warranty for all four tires the last time she destroyed one. Paid for itself already.

Those aren't gonna come off. Ask me how I know, no matter how much pb blaster. I actually had luck unbolting exhaust everywhere but that point to let it hang a little, pulled the heat shield out, was able to hang the driveshaft out of the way, finally getting access to shifter assembly without taking exhaust off at the cat/downpipe connector.

Or if they do they break, so have new hardware on hand. I found the best way to remove them once broken was with an air hammer. Otherwise you'll be drilling forever!

PB? Not on this. Heat, real heat will get 'em off, been there. If they do twist I'll hammer 'em out. Not in a hurry since parts won't arrive till Monday- Tuesday. I do wanna drive my my car with the new control arm bushings though. lol

Cleaned the car. Didn't have breakfast so got the shaky legs halfway through. Amateur.

Did my vanos seals as well as the valve cover gasket. Broke off the damn CCV breather hose while disconnecting it. It was so brittle that it's probably a good thing it broke, so that I can now replace it all

My Ride: 2003 325i Sedan
New guy here, with new-to-me '03 325i Sedan purchased four days ago. Today I replaced the shift surround, some door trim, center armrest, rear ashtray, speaker grille, numerous small trim covers, grommets and clips. I had been looking online for all of the parts above since purchase, and couldn't believe the used parts prices I had been seeing for things like a piece of door trim - things like double the dealer list for a used part. I've been a BMW parts guy for over 20 years, and I can understand a small markup for inconsequential bits like new clips, but I have my limits

Fortunately my local Pick a Part dropped a near-identical car to mine on the lot today, and I quickly moved to scoop up everything I needed. My interior is now in complete and nice condition, for under $30.

Do yourself a favor. Buy new exhaust seals and through bolts/nuts. Go to a muffler shop and have them use a torch to get the rusty ones off and install the new ones. $50-75 and will cut hours off your job.

Chasing after a misfire for a while now with my 2001 auto 325xi.
Let some family use it for a while, they put dino oil in it and it turned to sludge. Cleaned it out best i could, but misfire was already righteous (missing on 2-3 cylinders) by the time i got it back.

new coils swapped coils made no real difference. performed the Cylinder-fill-with-lucas-overnight treatment once and it brought #6 back to life. #2 is better, but is still fighting me... Gonna do another treatment with some far more potent sludge/grime break down as well as add it to the oil before I change it, again. Hopefully, I can get this Auto back to 100% in the next week or so.

It's a nice car so the misfiring sucks... both are Stahlblau 325xi. 2001 is auto 2005 is Manual. My 2005 is my everyday commuter. The 2001 gets far less of a workout.

We just started using the products from a company called BG products at work. We used their engine performance service in an Audi that was using a quart about every 300 miles. Initial tests showed 70 PSI of compression on one of the cylinders. After the service it was up to 170 PSI. Every other cylinder came up at least 5 PSI and brought them within 10% of each other. Think I may start using their additive, at minimum, in my car. Definitely worth looking into.

Edit: No, I don't work for them. Just really impressed to find something that really seems to work to help remedy oil consumption issues.

Which one did that? I've been in the car business for many years. Their products are used at almost every dealership I've worked at. Some good stuff.

The EPR is what was run through that engine. MOA was then added once the oil was changed after the flush.

Nice! I might have to give that a try.

I'm going to do it on the 2005 shortly, and install catchcans on both.
