I'll only say that price is probably in the ballpark with the info we have. The automatic hurts the value. If it doesn't have the sport package, it probably should be in really good shape, since plain Jane tourings are FAR more common.

Back to the point about geography... I got a killer deal on mine because I located it in a VERY small town in rural Mississippi. The fact it had a manual instead of an automatic actually hurt it in that local market. I could have turned it around at that time for about half again what I paid.

The market for 15 YO (give or take) semi-obscure cars is anything but cut and dried.

Wow. Now that's what I call details! More than I expected.

Given the miles, options, and location, if the interior is in good shape, I'd call that a steal.

Well done.

You'll want to budget for some additional maintenance but there is definitely money left over for that IMHO.

I think it's an ok deal. There are so many autos to choose from in SF Bay area. If I were you I'd try to bargain my way down to 5.

I don't think its a great deal- maybe an ok deal. I paid $3500 for a very similar wagon with 160k about two years ago.

Yes, at $5k it would be a good deal, especially for that area.

Well, there you go. Even with good details there is a wide range of opinions. I think the relatively low miles helps the value quite a bit. That and the high spec (except the slushbox).

You don't think $1500 is worth paying for 40k fewer miles?

I'd be pretty happy getting that car at $5k, assuming the interior is in nice shape.

My issue was that first was so short as to be basically useless.

2002 BMW 325xit 5 speed manual trans black wagon with 123,000 miles, excellent

Up for sale is my 2002 BMW 325xit 5 speed manual transmission black wagon with 123,000 miles in excellent condition.

I waited a long time to find this wagon and spent months fixing it up. So ironic that now I am driving my truck all the time, I thought the wagon's carrying capacity would be enough, I am reluctantly letting it go. Please feel free to comment, ask questions. I can deliver it to San Francisco or Los Angeles, and of course I will discount the price for forum members. Thanks!

2000 323i manual rwd. Overpriced considering the mileage? Test driving tomorrow...

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto...218429311.html

Owner has also done the following, as copy-pasted from our text convo (see ad, current mileage 227k):

The expansion tank, water pump, thermostat, and two of the coolant hoses about 20k ago

Serpentine belts and front control arm bushings were done right around the same mileage

Front brakes with pads and rotors(e46 330) and just rear pads about 4k ago

He sent me more pictures that show a clean dark navy exterior and nice tan leather with separating (not ripped) seam on drivers seat. Everything else is clean and works.

Price might be fair if it had 70k less miles. Please opine! Im new to e46 ownership but had a great experience with a high mileage '87 528e manual._nr_

$2000 for an 03 rwd black on natural brown. miles not stated in ad.
Not much info. Possibly a scam. I would check it out if I didn't already get one in February.
