Damn, that is a lot, but it's only money. Curious, how much is a mildly used one? Seems like the germans plummet after the first year.

I'm with you on the not buying used, and I do know that SOME porsches retain value well...but on some germans, like the S class or something like that, they can sticker for nearly 200k, and in one year, get chopped down to damn near 75k lol.

Porsche isn't as bad as Mercedes AMG's, they lose half their value in 3 years. You can get a used Cayman GTS with an MSRP of $85K to $90K for $65K. Used Porsches are quite the bargain, you can get a CPO'ed 991.1 that has a MSRP of over $120K in the $60's.

It's going to be better to buy a used car within the same Generation as the differences are going to be more minimal.
The 718 (982) that I have is a whole evolution above the 981 which includes the GTS and GT4. Yeah...so the change from the flat 6 for a turbo 4 is a deal breaker for a lot of the reviewers but the performance and improvements in driving dynamics easily beat the soundscape IMO. The better usable power delivery at lower rpm's is also a plus...no need to rev it all the way up to 4k get any action. Double digit improvements around the ring compared to the GTS and only 2 sec slower than the ultimate Cayman GT4 is also nice. Plus Turbo, so getting a tune for another 50+ hp shouldn't be a problem once the tuners get to play with it a little.
