Maybe there could be a provision to get the information IF there is a relevant need for it (...e.g...credibility on the stand, etc.). I think that sending the information "just because" is a breach in the privacy protections for peace officers.

I don't think public servants should have privacy while on duty, to a certain extent such as medical issues or when going to the bathroom.

Do you think we should know the home addresses of all public employees?

No, that's private information that has nothing to do with your job.

She didn't control her child, so the guy might have had to stop the kid. Yea the cop wanted to ruin her day by arresting her for being an assh0le, but stop playing the innocent card.

So many assumptions in such a short amount of writing.

Angry black woman must be a threat!
Little black child MUST have done wrong!
White painter guy is peaceful bystander!

Oh jesus! You guys are beyond help.

How is this a surprise?

Someone cant have a gun in many states if they are convicted of domestic abuse.

M3 disagrees. He think we should give them both a gun AND A badge.

Corrupt cops always fight transparency.

Nice try! What a way to take my words completely out of context (...while making shit up out of thin air) and completely ignoring where I said disciplinary files SHOULD be available under certain circumstances. God you are retarded.

This would be in the "good cop" thread, but I can't find it. What an annoying little dweeb.

Seriously? If the cops are shooting, something isn't right, and if you're with the person, they are going to haul you in until they find out who the hell you are.

Sure seems like the something in this case was the cop. Surprised he hasn't already been charged with murder. We may learn of mitigating factors once he tells his side but this is one that is pointed towards a bad or fatally incompetent cop.

That's a different story, if the shoot was good or not, but hauling the other passenger off after a shooting for questioning isn't beyond the scope.

they should have hauled the cop's partner for questioning.

It is legal to shoot suspects fleeing a crime in many states, so I don't know what they were doing to warrant the shooting...could be nothing and the cop is a killer or it could be something. Article is super vague on details.

The cop only took one of the passengers but left the others.

While police initially stated that the car full of teens was driving "aggressively towards the officer" prompting the shot, Balch Springs Police Chief Jonathon Haber quickly recanted the account after viewing officer worn body camera on Monday.

"In a hurry to get the statement out, I misspoke," said Haber at a press conference on Monday. "I take responsibility for that, he said.

Seems like the chief and M3Inline needs to sit and talk about "waiting for the evidence to come out"
