Agree on all fronts. I think it was more a statement than anything. Lets not discount the impact this will likely have on the Chinese/N. Koreans as well as the president's domestic agenda.

Note the increasing support surrounding POTUS, especially buy House republicans, who he needs for any deal on taxes and infrastructure.

Nobody thinks 59 Tomahawks will change the outcome of a 6-yr civil war. But it may put a check on the Russian/Iranian/Syrian use of weapons that are just unacceptable to the American people and to the rest of the world.

Simplistically, like your milk in the fridge. Use it or pour it down the drain.

Regardless of the accounting piece, I support this move, but would love to see more cooperation by other nations geographically closer to this mess.
WTF?

A $1.6mil cruise missile is not the same as a $2 gal of milk meaning it doesn't "expire". The missiles aren't even stored with fuel in them, they are just sitting there and get fueled prior to launch for the very reason of they won't expire. The $95mil we spent on this attack could have been used to fund some of the minuscule programs the Donald wants to defund for no reason.

However horrible unacceptable they may be, and definitely were, to the American people, why is it our duty to play world police? This was not a UN action, it was not collaborative, it was not a unified strike. It was Trump trying to drum up some support (which he'll likely get) to save his ass at this point.

The man is the embodiment of hypocrisy and the evidence just continues to mount.

Don't you find killing people who pose you no threat for merely political gain is wrong?

Or using tax dollars to kill people who are no threat?

Or launching a military strike based on witness statements who have a vested interest in the outcome?

Ever heard of the Gulf of Tonkin Incident? Do you still think President Johnson wasn't lying?

I think it's more along the lines of sending a message.

I just think it's easier and less of a hassle to email someone if you wanted to send a message. Maybe fax, too.

Facsimile would have been less expensive than 59 cruise missiles that don't actually convey written or verbal communication. I'm disappointed in the US.
