No, I am in Huntsville - where we benefit from companies exiting high COL and regulatory states.

They won't be the last to do so. COL in CA is insane. If you haven't lived there for a long time and bought in when it was cheap(er), you're basically SOL on getting any property. With the high property costs come the high salary demands and overall cost of goods goes through the roof.

California is a big place. There are very expensive areas (think SFO/Bay Area, LA, Orange County, Silicon Valley) and then there are places that are as cheap as a lot of other areas of the country.

It turns out that the forum doesn't support Japanese characters.

I actually wrote one in Japanese. It posted as a bunch of gibberish. My artistic urge was crushed.

You're right, none of these points alone amount to a smoking gun, but the growing body of evidence certainly points to the likelihood that it was Assad. I fully support your doubting btw.

One more point. If indeed it went down as you suggest and it was not Assad that did it. Do you think the Russians would sit idly by as they have, as the U.S. attacks their most important client?

I know its early still, but by all accounts, the Russians have basically conceded (by their actions, not their words) that the U.S. action was justified/acceptable and that they will not likely respond. Does not seem like they'd behaving this way if indeed Assad was not involved.
Everyone keeps talking about the "evidence" when at best it's a circumstantial case. (Again, where's the COC? Where's the GC/MS data?)

As far as the Russia conceding: Tomahawks are notoriously difficult to shoot down. And Russia didn't bother to attack Turkey when they shot their MiG 23 down and executed the pilot!

Obviously Putin sees this as a cost of war and doesn't want to start WW3.

Also, I've done more research on Sarin. Anyone who says it's a gas hasn't read about it. It's a liquid that is very easily absorbed through the skin. It acts on the peripheral and central nervous systems. Strange that first responders weren't affected while coming into contact with contaminated victims. The liquid will vaporize and enter the lungs of anyone in the contact area.

The primary symptoms are hyper-secretions and respiratory distress. From the videos I don't see anyone with mucus running out of their mouths/noses.

Maybe it wasn't Sarin. Maybe the jihadists used something else to bait Trump into attacking. Maybe it wasn't the Syrian Government.

British scientists find sarin used in Syria: U.N. envoy - Reuters News

12-Apr-2017 10:28:11 AM

UNITED NATIONS, April 12 (Reuters) - Samples taken from the
site of a deadly toxic gas attack in Syria and analyzed by
British scientists have tested positive for sarin or a
sarin-like substance, Britain's U.N. Ambassador Matthew Rycroft
told the U.N. Security Council on Wednesday.

"The United Kingdom therefore shares the U.S. assessment
that it is highly likely that the regime was responsible for a
sarin attack on Khan Sheikhoun on 4 April," Rycroft said.

Ah, so. Imagine, if you will for a moment, that it was this "Sarin-like substance".

What other "substance" could it be? Could it have been some sort of toxic chemical used in another industry? Could it have been some sort of pesticide that, while legal for use in Agriculture, would be banned for use in populated areas?

Are there legal pesticides that farmers (a large number of whom live in Syria) have ready access to? Does Syria have an Agency equivalent to the EPA that regulates poisonous chemicals? (I think not!)

So if it was a pesticide readily available, that could kill hundreds of people if concentrated and spread over a wide enough area, could it resembled a "Sarin gas (not a gas)" attack?

So, since there's some doubt as to what the actual chemical was you must concede there is some doubt as to who was responsible for its distribution.

I'll get back to you with the usual suspects of pesticides.
