Pull up in front of "random_place_01" in something that looks like a Dodge Charge or in a Ferrari and try to get laid that night by a stranger. The same guy in a Ferrari (even the SLK of Ferrari's) has a much better shot compared to driving an expensive Dodge.

Oh, and in 99.99% of the country, people see any Ferrari less often than they get laid by strangers by a significant margin. I've lived in 11 cities across 8 states and almost all of them I lived either in or in the suburbs of a major city (Albany NY and Jefferson City MO being the exceptions) and have personally seen maybe 40 Ferrari's in the past 40 years. You can guess how many Dodge's I've seen, but I'm not sure I can count that high..

If I pay $130K USD for a Dodge, I better get 12 of them.

It doesn't appear that they're using Pontiac emblems.

I agree here, but I'm not a fan of how FCA went about building their stupidly ridiculous car in this instance. This car is unique, but its single purpose is to cover the quarter mile in 9.65 seconds. The drag racing experience this car has to offer is limited to
1) Use linelock to warm up tires
2) Engage transbrake
3) Launch the car, press paddles at the right time, and get a sub ten second quarter mile.
4) OK, you win, but now what?

You will have a blast for two days at the dragstrip, maybe for a season, but after that the car will become boring, as there is no room to grow.

Im cool with it being a drag car, but even then I believe it should offer a more involving and long lasting experience to its owner - perhaps provide a high degree of customization so that the owner can tinker with the car and try to go beyond those 9.65 seconds. Given that every subsystem in this car is designed for those out of the box 9.65 seconds I doubt there is a lot if any room to grow.

Neither have I obviously. I enjoyed driving a Challenger SRT (not even a hellcat) with its torque and the accompanying sound, but I didnt see myself enjoying that car for more than a month max. Same with the hellcat - this is why there are so many of them for sale after a year or two. Its fun but it gets old quickly.

Backroads with twisties . Unless you are in a metropolitan area you must have some close to you. I organize my daily commute in a way where I go around my town via twisties and avoid all the commuters & jams associated with them.

I actually think the Hellcat is one of the best daily drivers money can buy (for normal folks.) During the day, on a normal commute (lets face it, we don't all live near twisties) it's completely docile, civilized, and comfortable. The fit and finish is quite nice, the price tag is attainable (especially now that the gouging has stopped) and it's all under warranty (can purchase lifetime even.) However, when you want to stab the skinny pedal, you get an awesome grin on your face, can pretty much smoke anything on 4 wheels in a street race (lets face it, sometimes you just gotta) all while being able to carry 4 passengers and a trunk full of luggage. It is certainly more exciting than anything out of germany for under 90K. My personal opinion of course.

Welp... under $100K.

"Obviously [the price] will be more than a regular Hellcat, but it's gonna be well below six figures," Kuniskis told R&T. For context, a Challenger SRT Hellcat starts at $64,195, giving us an approximate range for the Demon's price.
