I see u have done a lot for the intake side, what have u done for the exhaust side? head port, larger exhaust, etc? I am sure you will see more power if you open it up. I felt a huge difference from the exhaust alone (TS2).

Sounds like a plan.
Yes, if you tune to the w/m you will get more hp/tq, but will need to always have w/m in your reservoir - get an after market ECU you maybe able to use two maps, so one for w/m and no w/m.
That extra boost would be nice.

Just fitting the 3.5" TB and 4" pipe with out a re-tune I lost power, 15 whp.
With tune gained 17.46 whp from previous best whp.

Engine is stock, but have some headers to go on in the future with a 2.5" electric cutout. With Xmas approaching, this probably won't get done till the new year.

Just trying to get the most out of the engine without opening it up.

I have a single 2.5" exhaust with a 1x 100 CPSI cat and one rear muffler with 2x 2" pipes out of the rear muffler. (I think they are 2", it has been a number of years since I have measured them)

Hmmm....can u post a video of you revving the car? I'm curious to sehow much restriction your exhaust is giving you. When I switched to the 3in exhaust the car was not only quicker but it revved a lot quicker. I'm willing to bet u would pick up some serious power.

Thats why my next mod will be the aftermarket headers, this will happen before I even think about a 3" exhaust.
I still have my W/M to hook up - the Haltech is wired up now just need to install a relay and refit the pump.

IF I have not surpassed 410whp with the Dyno Dynamics by then, I may look at a 3" exhaust. (should be about 440-450 whp with a Dynojet, I am still looking for a place here that actually has a Dynojet so I can put these numbers to rest once and for all)

I still run the 2.93:1 diff as well.
If I get time I'll try and organise a vid.

Can you post your dyno sheet for me?

P.S the E85 I run only shows E60 on the fuel composition scaler which means I am only running 70% of my tune - I need to find actual E85 some where.

cosmos, with the Meth doesn't matter if you have e85 or e60 gas right?

With the composition scaler on the Haltech if the Fuel Flex Sensor reads anything less than E85 it will reduce the tune as a fail safe.

Using the W/M is more beneficial if you have higher than normal air intake temperatures like we do with the TS SC and higher boost, the cooler you can make the intake temperature the denser the air the more performance.

If my fuel composition scaler was reading E60 and I had the same W/M my engine would produce less power than if the FCS was reading E85.

So, when I finally finalise my W/M set up and get a retune and my FCS is still reading E60, I will have more power but not as much as if my FCS was reading E85.

Plus, like you said, you picked up an extra 2 psi with the W/M going through the TS, again more power to be had.

Therefore, I really should just get off my ass and finalise my W/M as it is approaching summer time here and I have already noticed my intake air temps starting to rise more than in winter, getting up to 78 degC (172.4 degF) after a couple of pulls.

When are you getting a dyno with your W/M?

Just bought some Hankook Z221 265/35/18 for the street and I will see how they go on the strip as well.

No use having all that power without traction.

E85: Caltex v United

Well.............

After putting up with Caltex E85 showing around E60 on my Eflex composition scale I went out of my way to go to a United that had E85.
There was still about 10L in the tank of Caltex when I topped up with 40L of United and straight away even before leaving the servo the scale showed just above E70.

I have been using two Caltex stations and both are the same. (CRAP!)

I drove 130Km and put in another 20L of united and it went up again to around E75+.

Cant wait to get rid of the last bit of Caltex out of my fuel tank.

13.20@112.44mph with the Hankook Z221's, 265/35/18.
Extremely grippy.

Car had some hiccups though. (turned out the crankshaft position sensor was faulty) (would not rev to redline and was running rough when trying to accelerate)

Found my hiccup - Crank Position Sensor.

Replaced my CPS tonight. I used my CPS out of my old M52TU28 (cause I know it works)
Did mine from underneath the car - quite simple and easy, used a small 1/4" rachet.

The car goes like it should again - HUGE DIFFERENCE

Can't wait to see what you can do at the drag strip now.
Have you given up on the low compression built? I've been thinking about it but the cost is just too much. If I can get my car to 350whp (on a mustang dyno) with maybe just a bit of meth I'll be done.
