Hello, my original power steering pump has a whopping 175k on it, and has been whining for the last year... replacing the fluid did not help (I used the correct fluids), and would now like to upgrade to an LF-30 before this pump bites the bullet.
Where could I buy a remanufactured LF-30 pump for relatively cheap? I can't find any really great deals.
There's really no such thing as a non-oem brand that i know of or have ever seen. they are simply reman pumps that aftermarket companies refurbish and put their sticker on.
The reservoir has a filter on it that is non-replaceable.
Here is a complete mango list you won't see anywhere else on the net typed out in such a complete manner:
Power steering lines
32416851217 x 1 Power steering reservoir ZF $17
32416764725 x 1 Power steering feed line MTC $44.09 CODAN $91.76
32416750155 x 1 Pressure hose CRP $23.61
32416796390 x 1 Pressure hose w/ crimp COHLINE $33.01
32416796367 x 1 pressure hose Cohline $55.86
Gasket rings for power steering job
32411093597 x 4
64508390601 x 2
32411093596 x 2
It will cost you $250 for everything (not including fluid and universal clamps of various sizes from your local parts store)

On eBay, there are a ton of cheap aftermarket ones for sale, around or less than $100, as "new". I wouldn't trust aftermarket, but I'm trying to find my bottom dollar remanufactured pump, to compare to the Amazon deals... still haven't found a good remanufactured pump seller. I'll probably bmaparts tomorrow to see if they have reman.
Most hoses come with clamps now, such as my Rein one. Check before hitting Autozone up. And also, check out Atlantic Enterprises for rebuilt (basically new) power steering pumps. I bought my Luk-20 there and they call it the "HD" version because it's beefed up with a wider internal vane for flow.
I got my pump from advanced auto (Duralast brand). It was about a third the cost of most of the rest of them. It came with a lifetime warranty. I didn't have any problems with it.
If you switch from an LF-20 to an LF-30, you need to change to the appropriate high pressure hose. All the other hoses and reservoir are common to either pump.
