The E46 is the first car where BMW put their back in to safety efforts, after barely scraping by with the E36. If the E36 M3 was anywhere near as safe as the E46 (1/2 vs 4/5 ratings all around) I'd be driving one instead of an E46. To me, my passengers safety is my responsibility.
I honestly wish more people would think like you. I'm not knocking the E36, but it's nice to hear those words come from someone. I know far too many people who disregard their passengers' safety (ie. buying knock-off racing seats which would undoubtedly buckle in an accident or no-name harnesses, etc.) :ben:
That video scares me and reassures me at the same time. I'm glad I gave my E46 to my dad after I got my E90. Good to know he's safe. The last segment with the pole is scary as sh*t.
