They mount to the spring bars but the way they feed through if you pop a bar the strap still stays on your wrist with the watch face still attached via the other bar.

Exactly, one of my spring bars broke off when my watch face got pulled while diving, luckily the other one was still in place and prevented my watch for falling off my wrist. If I had my metal band, I would have lost that watch.

Ordered a Seiko Turtle today, was planning on getting a Sumo but that opportunity fell through.

I knew I wanted a rectangular cased watch - wound up getting an Apple watch as a gift from a client. Kind of digging it, as sacrilegious as it my be in this thread...

I totally see the appeal of an Apple watch. It's actually nicely made, Im just not ready to give up my AP diver for it just yet. (Plus Im far too rough on watches to wear an apple watch, I'd break it pretty quickly.)

I'm only about a week in with it, I'm using it more than I expected to. The speech recognition on it is pretty good, messaging, etc... The new one has a sapphire crystal (not sure if the previous one did or not).

I always thought the Apple Watch was a waste, then the wife wanted one so I picked one up for her, it's pretty awesome but I would still never get one for myself.

Yeah - I don't think I'd have ever bought one for myself - but I was secretly stoked to get this as a gift.

Just got the Seiko and nato straps off Amazon. Also got new straps to replace the tired ones on the citizen, its not my favorite style but I have it already. Bands are really nice.

I never thought I'd like the nato straps but they are great, very comfortable and light but solid. I equate weight with quality that's why I am a huge fan of solid end link bracelets but these bands are great, they fit snug and secure without being uncomfortable like some of the leather and rubber/composite straps I have.

The Turtle has arrived, I must say it is a very nice watch.

And the watches in my small collection that are heavy on the daily wear rotation (there are only a couple that aren't)

I got the padi turtle with the pepsi bezel. I like it, but it's a big heavy watch. I have a 38mm diver on blushark nato, it's much more comfortable. The blueshark nato is pricey for a nato, but much better built that some of cheap natos from cheapnatostraps.com.

I have couple more not in the pic, but I am a huge fan of Japanese watches, they are great quality time pieces, look great if you ask me, and are inexpensive.

Just need to figure out whats next, a Black Seiko Sumo or a Blue Turtle.
