And with an overnighted part and a few hours of work, Heidi is happy again.

First box of goodies arrived. Excited to put these on... Similar to my M's grilles which the German flag instead of M colors.

Can you host the pictures elsewhere? it sucks to click them because none of them show up here. All I see is the grey minus sign logo lol

Sorry, show up fine on mine. Not sure why... migrated images to photobucket. Should be fixed now.

Great looking car.
I would highly suggest going to UUC motorwerks lightweight flywheel with a performance organic clutch. I have that combo and I love it!
Be sure to remove your cdv valve and get a braided steel clutch line. Also if you live in a hot climate follow their fluid recommendation because it would sound like a diesel.

^Thanks for the recommendations, I have a stainless clutch line on the way and already have fluids ready to go. Going to run a redline D4/MTL mix due to the age of the transmission.

Looks cool. My 330 is dark and I didn't think that grill would work on a dark base but it does!
Is the ZHP Black or a steel grey? It looks different from the driveway shot.

How is the quality of the ECS grills? The khoalty ones are not so great, the tabs break off as you are trying to install them.

The car is Sapphire black metallic, looks slightly grey under fluorescent lighting. The ECS quality is really good. I've never been unsatisfied with their products.

Parts delayed, so decided to tackle the last interior project for now. Here's the center console the car came with. Not my cup of tea, and in really bad shape.

Here's the replacement armrest installed. Much better!

Also replaced the window seals, but that's not exactly photo-worthy.

The car's dead pedal was broken off. Not sure how that happened but it needed to go.

Much better.

New window seals.

And the last bit of parts finally arrived. New flywheel, rear main seal, transmission seals, mounting bolts, etc.

Time to get back to the dirty work...

Flywheel removed, back of engine degreased. Note how the starter just sits there. The metal gasket that goes between the engine and transmission helps hold it in place, but it really just bolts through the transmission side. Might be interesting getting it back together.

New rear main seal kit installed. Should take care of the oil seepage problem that contributed to the clutch dying in the first place.

New flywheel installed. Ooh shiny...

New pressure plate and clutch disc installed.

Transmission getting resealed, refilled, and going back in tomorrow.

Be sure to line up the starter, I repeat make sure you line up the starter before you bolt the tranny. I didn't and I had to take off the intake manifold to align it.

Sorry for the late update. Haven't had a ton of free time lately. Good news, transmission went back in without a hitch. Transmission jack was a huge help here. Being able to tilt the transmission on two axis was very helpful with installation. Make sure to use new bolts. Aluminum bolts are only designed to be torqued once.

And here she is for now. My ZHP which will now affectionately be known as "Hilde".

Here is Heidi, Hilde, and Matilda.

Hilde drives very well now. Solid suspension, effortless clutch, engine purrs nicely. Going to take a break for a bit and enjoy the car, but have big plans for her in the future.
