Which e46 is best to turbo?

Hello all this is my first post here. Im looking for a e46. My buddy has a 325i and were turboing it in February. All I want to know is which of all the e46 is best to modify and to turbo. Also which will build the most power. Thanks!

Probably the 330 on a budget since it has the m54 that is already in the realm of 225 hp but the best would be a m3 the only problem is once you start putting forced induction on these cars they become a bit more unreliable if you are using it as a Daily. But a 325 would be a fun car to have a turbo on aswell. The m54 in the 330 has a limit of 400hp stock but idk much about the engine in the 325.

Well i see where i am at that there are so many 325i for sale. And they are mad cheap. What is the most power i could build of a turbo, cams, intercooler, turbo, fuel injectors, and other goodies for a 325i. My goal is 350ish hp.

400 hp at the crank is not so much it's limit but instead a safe number if you go more than you you should be replacing the rods and all that good stuff

The M54B30 is probably your best option for boost. A few people on here have been doing it with good results around 15 PSI.

The 330 is plenty fine past 15psi. Dont even need to pull the head to replace the studs. Its not bad too, but I haven't and its all still holding together.
