Does Refinancing Change my Property Taxes?

I bought my current home when I was single. Now that I'm married and want to refi, the escrow company wants my wife to be put on title given that I'm now married. Would this trigger a property tax increase give that a new deed would need to be issued? I was under the impression that doing a refi without changing titlle/deed would not change my property taxes.

any ideas? Im frantically looking online for answers since i dont want my taxes go up by 150%

Thank in advance

nope. I am a broker if you need help. srs/

she does not have to be on title.
She can sign off her rights;it is called an inter spousal deed.
you can be on title as married man sole and separate property.

Yeah, I was curious as to why the escrow company (not the mortgage company) insisted on having her on title (especially if she's not on the mortgage).

Yup.

Anyway: this shouldn't be a reassessment event for property taxes.
