Sorry for the peanut gallery comments from the other members.

They will NOT get a picture of my daughter!!
I'm hoping its a wet speed sensor, the only thing related I've found on Audi forums. But a lot of Audi/VW owners pay to have their cars fixed.

No pictures of my daughter either.

jm, Man we have to wade through it waist deep don't we!

Anyway, not sure I have a solid answer for you. I have been seeing a lot of ABS related problems on these older cars just after the ABS was enabled probably for the 3rd-5th time in the life of the car. The Bosch ABS units are known to have problem solder joints as they age, and other solenoids may show problems as well.

ABS is a crap shoot without being able to look at codes and Live Data like wheel sensors. So for a cheap and halfway decent tool, I would consider this - https://www.amazon.com/Xtool-Vag401-...ywords=vag+401

Less than $50, no need for a computer or any smarts to get it going, plug it in, read codes, look at wheel sensors and hopefully get some decent data and clues. You would spend 4-6 times this much at any shop for them to even pull it in the bad. So this is something your family members can do and then provide the results so we can move on.

I will send you info so you can contact me without all the additional "help".
