Like I said, I got the metal part not the plasctic, the plastic was replaced .. I got the back part and its metal, is the one below the oil pan, were the little cap to drain the oil is ...

Ballsy. Got to be more to that story, as in why didn't the dealer file criminal charges, etc. Don't dispute the dealer owed him for the screwup, just how could he do something like that without at least thinking about jail. Like I said ballsy, or else he must have been so angry he wasn't thinking clearly.

My thinking is the splash shield is there for a reason. Aerodynamics, air flow, engine/hose protection, leak catcher. I would not run one mile without it. Car was meant to have it. You are not making the car any better by deleting it, but you are certainly making it worse.

First Bimmer..."Miss December"...2000 323i, purchased Dec. 2013 w/82K on the clock. PM thus far...pads/rotors, belts/pulleys, complete CS overhaul, FCABs, plugs, autotranny/differential service, fuel pump, filter, and relay. Full front end refresh with LCAs and bushings, struts and mounts, inner/outer tie rods, sway bar endlinks and bushings.
