Installed the new black headliner yesterday - that was likely the biggest PITA I've had with the E46 so far. It's not exactly complicated, but I definitely struggled getting the headliner in and out of the car and getting it attached to the roof correctly.

Today, I took the car to pass emissions after going through all of the readiness monitors. 3 minutes of idle in drive from cold, accelerate 1/2 throttle to 55, hold for 3 minutes, decelerate to 20, accelerate 3/4 throttle to 60, hold for 5 minutes, decelerate to 0. Was really happy to see that my CEL didn't come back, it wound up being that I just had to re-seat the connection on the LDP to clear the P1477.

Also, got my brother to take some cool shots of the car around sunset! I wanna get a nice camera now...

Johnsonville Wisconsin, 6 miles from me. lol

Picked up some Castrol Syntec 0w-40 at Wallyworld today, $22+ for a 5qt jug on sale. 18 qts. on the shelf right now, enough to do the e36, the next change on the xi and half of another. The joys of having cars that don't use oil.

Was driving to a clients when this guy came racing down the hill and turning with his car in my lane. I swerved out of the way and hit the curb at roughly 30mph. Rim seems straight but control arm is f*cked. Tire sidewall also got a piece. Better the arm than the subframe (checked it)

Leatheriqued Seats

Leatheriqued the front seats today. I wish that I had taken a "before" photo because they came out great I need to do the driver's seat again, though because it still has a bit of sheen. I don't think that I left enough Rejuvenator to soak in. Next, I am going to attempt some crack repair on the driver's bolsters and dye the arm rests.

Treated the rubber bits with Gummi Pflege and touched up some small paint chips.

Replaced my rear shocks and springs, I was surprised to find that they were Konis. Shocks were stuck in the collapsed position when I pulled them out, and the adjustment collars for the springs had damn near welded themselves to the suspension arms. Having some new Firehawk Indy 500s mounted now, then I'm debating on starting work on the front suspension since I gotta work later...

I'm finally getting around to restoring my front bumper assembly. 80% held together with zip ties! Took it all apart, glued some cracked plastic trim parts (JB PlasticWeld is the BOMB!). The guy who owned her before must have bottomed the hell out of it - what a mess. Just ordered new front fender liners, new belly pan, and about a dozen fasteners, screws to get it all properly attached again. Have the m sport bumper and the air channel leading back to the front wheel wells were literally just loose and completely sideways!
