after they fix the bends in the rims, will they need to be repainted?

Show those pics to a rim repair shop, or call to discuss it with them. One shop I spoke to wanted $250 to refinish and repair a bent Style 45 rim "the right way". You buy them new for less than that. I don't think buying rims used and reconditioning them is worth it unless you buy and can repair them and still be significantly less than brand new.

Repaired rims will look good, but won't ever be as strong so they will be suseptible to bending again.

Also it can be hard to balance a repaired rim. While they can be balanced on most balancer machines, once the weight of the car is on the wheel it will make your steering wheel vibrate on the freeway.

If you do buy bent wheels & have the repaired, be sure to take them to a tire place that has a Hunter Road Force Balancer machine to have them balanced. The Road Force Balancer simulates the wheel being on the ground by applying force against the wheel when balancing.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

if a non chrome wheel is bent on face side they will need to be reconditioned, if it is bent on the inside flange then no
as for as good as new, it depends on the repair facility. if the wheel is cut straight it will never be as strong again but done with hydraulics & slow heat it can correctly & safely be repaired.

just go to a place that subscribes to WEAA standards & you should be ok
