Looks like coolant leaking and am new to E46's so I dont know what could be above your oil pan but it could be a heater hose in that location. Also after a long drive and you hear cracking noise coming from the exhaust most likely that is going to be your catalytic converter cooling down.

It looks like water from the AC drain tube. Were you running the AC? See this post.

Condensate from the AC. You are driving with the defrost on, or just the AC, and that's water that drips off of the evaporator coil.

Ah, the elusive AC drain tube. OP, at least you know your's is not clogged. I'll bet your AC/defrost smells fine too?

No, it is nothing to worry about.

When you take a beer from the fridge and put it the patio table, water droplets form on the can and drip down the sides. This is what you are observing from your car.

It might be worth the effort to actually look for the tube that the water is coming out of and make sure it is directed away from stuff that cars about water dripping on it constantly. On my X5, I had to redirect this drain tube because the water coming out of it was making something else have a hissy fit. The draining water is not a problem, but where the draining water drains to might be worthy of consideration.

For the record, the rear window is heated by an electric coil that is built into the glass, the water dripping out the bottom of the car is not related to this in any way.
