Looks like a good buy from a dealer too for you WA guys. Will leave some spare change for the 6speed conversion too. Wish it was closer to Melbourne to have a look at to join its older brother in the garage.

Too much money for too many Ks. It's still a buyers market for the M3 (SMG).

That M3 at the dealer is in pretty darn good condition.

My mate is Used Car Manager there - he's driven it etc; is clean and has definitely been looked after. Worth the money IMO for a clean SMG.

there was a LSB (cloth interior as well) for 30k that didnt last long on carsales. it had manual conversion done. looked tidy. got snapped up very quickly!

ive been thinking about 1M's last week or so lol.

what do you guys reckon mine is worth? 2003, factory manual, 145kms, Estoril, black leather, SS race muffler, genuine csl boot, genuine CS wheels (just been resprayed), KW V3's, genuine CSL centre console, reinforced subframe...

i dont think ill sell right now, but if i was, do you think it would be better to return to 100% stock and sell extras separate or as is?

You can aim high with the car as is but at 145,000 kms any prospective buyer may feel there isn't enough meat left to chew on to pay the premium.

I'd start at 44500 with 40flat in mind leave it online for 3 months if doesn't move By then you may have a change of heart keep it or if it really has to go Return it to stock. Then aim for 30-35k and ship the parts out on ebay and gumtree.

if it had under 80,000kms id put another $20k on it between 80,000- 100,000 another $15K on it and so forth.

I'm the same as you man. I never baby, but make sure it's at operating temp with mechanical sympathy sprinkled on the side.

With my previous F30 328, I did oil pump, turbo bearing and rear diff though...

Did the oil bearing give any indication it was going to fail?

I've been on the hunt for a clean-ish manual example for 1-2 years now, they are really hard to find especially when it comes to colours. I haven't even seen 1 white/LSB/red m3 factory manual that's Australian delivered for sale. I do know for every 10 SMG cars out there is 1 manual, but I still can't believe how hard it is to find them...

Unfortunately, It will get harder as time passes as it reaches classic status its plausible that collectors from RHD countries coming to Australia seeking to buy clean low millage unrusted (classic) cars and will drive the prices up.

I have seen this already first hand with buyers from the middle east bulk buying old Mercedes trucks from Australian wreckers and shipping them there because the bodies and parts were well preserved.
