Question guys....
I had my brake pads changed and my brakes r now squeaking like crazy...any suggestions why?
I know I havent changed my sensor yet, I dont know if that my be the reason....
The squeak is likely caused by the lack of brake grease on the backs of the new pads. It is very inexpensive, although time consuming, to re-do the brake job and use the grease on the pads.
Where did you get that front bumper, by the way? Is it OEM?

This is what I did....I may not have the correct 'terminology' but it fixed it!
1. Loosen your brake fluid cap.
2. Jack up the car, pull the wheel.
3. Remove the retaining clip on the pads.
4. Remove the rubber boots on the back of the caliper exposing the two bolts.
5. Use a 7mm hex key to loosen the two bolts that hold the caliper in place.
6. With some force, pull the caliper towards you to release the 'tension' in the brakes. This is why you loosened the brake fluid cap, so the fluid level could rise.
7. Rotate the caliper up and off the rotor.
8. Both pads should easily come out into your hand.
9. Apply a liberal amount of squeak-stop grease stuff to the back of the pad (The metal surface, not the black part that is in contact with the rotor).
Reverse the process to put it back and then do the other side.
ok, but just wondering what does the back of the pad have to do with any noise? Im sure u know what ur doing...but it just doesnt sound logical....
So I guess I'll just apply fluid in the back of the pad.
The noise comes from vibration between the back of the pad and the caliper. The grease will deaden this vibration and typically will silence the vibration for you. Enjoy.

Your mind is telling you that the squeal is from the pad rubbing on the rotor itself, that seems logical. But the truth as 330man so poignantly put it is that the subtle vibration of your pad against the caliper is where the real squeal is coming from. I was a non-believer as well but did a search here and got the answer.
